We don't irritate our users with popups, graphic advertising or trying to sell them third party services and definitely no downward bidding or load auctions which can only devalue the whole industry

How can Loadup help individuals, ebay traders or businesses with goods to move?

Our courier / haulier members are constantly on the lookout for return loads rather than returning empty from an outbound delivery, and are therefore prepared to carry loads at a reduced (backload) rate. This not only makes our service attractive to private individuals needing to get goods delivered more cheaply, e.g. a single item of furniture from A to B at an economical price or a full house removal or even goods traded on ebay, but for some larger businesses already utilising our service, huge annual savings on their transport costs are already being made

POSTING GOODS FOR DELIVERY ON THE SYSTEM:

Private users, needing to move a single item up to a full house removal, can use a simplified version of the quotation request form, so no need to read on, just click here to post your delivery needs on the system and wait for our transport members to contact you directly with quotes.

Business users however, are likely to submit many loads per week/month and to save time, once you have posted your first load, your details will be stored and automatically filled in for you, making posting a very quick and easy process in the future. Just click on a 'Post a Load' link, fill out the form carefully, especially the first time, and wait for the phone calls

One-off loads

One-off loads are kept on the database for maximum of 5 days, but are usually deleted by the shipper earlier when arranged to prevent further enquiries, they are then automatically deleted to keep the system up to date. Shippers are invited by email before deletion to update their load for a further 5 days if it still hasn't been arranged

Ongoing loads

Mainly for business users with many available loads which can stay on the system for up to 1 month, selectable when posting a load, they are then automatically deleted to keep the system up to date but are invited by email before deletion to update it for a further month.

When a load has been arranged and is no longer available, all users are expected to remove their loads/quote requests without delay, in order to avoid wasted phone call enquiries.

What is the return load / backload rate? - Answer, there is no such rate
Many variables are involved - weight, distance, size/capacity of vehicle, fully loaded or part loaded, ferry involved?
There is no accurate answer but an approximation would be to find out the average price you would need to pay a local haulage company if you were to book an outbound consignment, then negotiate or make an offer in the region of 60%-70% of this, you should state on the load posting form that a backload rate is required.
If you need a consignment delivering urgently, you should expect to pay a standard full outbound rate

HAULIERS, COURIERS, REMOVAL EXPERTS - ACCESSING AVAILABLE LOADS:

The first point to note is that we do not get involved in any arrangements between hauliers/couriers and the shipper with 'goods to move' and we make no extra charges whatsoever.

Loadup enables hauliers, carriers, removal experts etc. to contact potential customers directly, before they start calling around for quotations.

Note: we do not operate an available vehicle system. It is unnecessary to provide a reverse engineered facility where shippers search for empty vehicles, when all that is required is for hauliers/couriers to search for return loads.
Having said this, our message board is often used for this purpose.

Subscription for access to the members area, where all loads and the contact details are displayed, is available from just £15.00 per month. Subscriptions can be made in most currencies by visa or mastercard.
Members get unrestricted access privileges to all contact information. No bidding / auctioning etc.
