| 1500 cubic feet required. Two men needed to manoeuvre one wardrobe and two cupboards down the stairs. All the other items are much easier. In Stirling it is a flat on the first and second floor but with parking by the door. In Portugal it is on the ground floor with a large car-park opposite the gate. No rush for the load - I said the end of February as it gives me 3 - 4 weeks to pack everything. Happy to have a shared load. Did this when the same things came from Portugal to Scotland in 2004 with Load-Up. Was then very pleased with the whole service. Ponte de Lima is half-an-hour from Vigo in Spain. There is motorway the whole way from the Channel ports to Ponte de Lima. Once the furniture has been dispatched, I shall be driving from Stirling to Ponte de Lima, taking the car ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao / Santander, in order to be in Portugal to help unload everything. I look forward to another happy Load-Up experience but this time in reverse - from Scotland to Portugal! | |
